7:00 PM  –  9:00 PM

Southeast Michigan carries its own Holocaust story, shaped by Jewish resilience alongside instances of local Nazi sympathy. Personal stories, archival materials, and historic sites help show how people in this region confronted hatred with courage and determination.

Join The HC’s own Harry Smith as he hosts this powerful exploration of our region’s history, uncovering the stories, places, and people who shaped southeast Michigan’s response to antisemitism and Nazi ideology.

Harry Smith is a Senior Education Manager at The Zekelman Holocaust Center, where he develops educational programs and exhibits exploring the Holocaust. A post program conversation will be moderated by Dr. Catherine Cangany, CEO of the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan.
